How to Care The Oral Cavity Properly

Daily oral hygiene is very important for both health of the teeth and health of a human body as a whole. Bad teeth are the focus of infection, which can trigger the emergence of dangerous and serious diseases. But what shall we do to ensure regular oral cavity care? What are the rules for dental care?

To brush your teeth correctly – what does it mean?

If one properly cleans teeth and does it on a regular basis, his/her oral cavity looks healthy and has a pleasant and fresh breath. With a thorough brushing of teeth:

  • There is no plaque and calculus on them
  • The gums are pink
  • There is no bleeding when brushing
  • There is no constant fetid smell from the mouth.

If you notice that pain, bleeding of the gums and constant fetid smell from the mouth have appeared, try to contact a dentist immediately. Such signs may indicate the presence of serious diseases.

In a dental office, you will be told how to properly brush your teeth and what tools are needed for this, and they will identify what areas in the oral cavity require more attention when brushing.

What should I do to keep my teeth healthy?

Everyone knows that the teeth need brushing every day, but few people follow the rules of oral hygiene comprehensively. Nevertheless, daily prophylactic procedures help to prevent more dangerous diseases that require a lot of time and financial resources.

It is important to remember that when the teeth are normal, it ensures:

  • Attractive appearance
  • Great mood
  • Appropriate food ingestion
  • Clear speech, etc.

So, how to achieve a healthy and beautiful smile? Try to adhere to the following rules:

  • Visit a dentist regularly (at least 2 times a year)
  • Brush your teeth with a toothbrush 2 times a day
  • Clean the spaces between the teeth with a floss every day
  • Control your diet (less sweets, more healthy food)
  • Use special mouthwashes
  • Change your toothbrush regularly with a new one (about once every 3 months)
  • Use the proven toothpaste, which your doctor has recommended you.

To maintain healthy teeth, the doctor can recommend using toothpaste with complex protection. Such remedies prevent the accumulation of plaque, reduce inflammation and gum bleeding, and protect the teeth from caries.

Brush your teeth, as if you were rotating a toothbrush and sweeping away the food particles from the gum to the tooth. Attention is required to the inner part of the tooth row and the chewing surface of the teeth. Do not forget to clean the tongue with the back of the toothbrush (if the brush has a massager) or a tongue scraper, as the tongue also accumulates many bacteria.
